AI automation · Sydney, NSW (remote)
AI automation forSydney small businesses.
NOYS works with Sydney businesses remotely from our base at Hope Island in Queensland. We don't have a Sydney office. The Sprint interview happens on a video call, and the automations connect to the cloud tools you already use, so the work doesn't need us in the room.

Sydney context
Sydney sells professional hours.
The City of Sydney local area alone has 88,192 active businesses registered for GST (economy.id). The council's 2022 Floor Space and Employment Survey counted 21,618 business premises in the area (City of Sydney). Most of them are small: across Australia, 97.3% of businesses employ fewer than 20 people (Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman).
Desk-based work dominates. Professional, scientific and technical services make up 21.9% of registered businesses in the City of Sydney, compared with 14.0% across New South Wales (economy.id, businesses by industry). Firms like these sell their time, so an hour spent retyping data or chasing documents is an hour nobody can bill.
Greater Sydney had 5,638,830 residents at June 2025 after adding 75,230 people (1.4%) over the year (ABS Regional Population). Some of the biggest growth was on the city's edge, where Box Hill - Nelson added 3,911 people. For businesses serving those suburbs, the admin grows with the customer base.
The national AI numbers don't agree with each other. The ABS Characteristics of Australian Business survey found about 12% of businesses used AI in 2024-25, and the National AI Centre's AI Adoption Tracker reported in June 2025 that 41% of SMEs were adopting it. For a Sydney practice, the more useful question is whether AI touches the work that fills your week, and that is what the Sprint checks.
Workflows
Five workflows worth automating first.
Time capture and billing prep
For firms that bill by the hour, an agent can turn calendar entries, emails and document activity into draft time entries for a person to review. Fewer billable hours go missing at month end.
Client onboarding and document collection
New clients get a checklist, reminders about missing documents, and a client file set up automatically once everything arrives. An accounting or financial advice practice can stop chasing ID and tax documents by hand.
Enquiry triage
Inbound enquiries are sorted by service and urgency, answered with a relevant first reply, and passed to the right person with a short summary attached.
Compliance file checks
Before a file is signed off, an agent confirms the required documents are there and the main fields are filled in, then lists anything missing. Mortgage brokers and advisers still make the final call themselves.
Weekly pipeline and client reports
Figures from your CRM, practice software and Xero are pulled into a short summary that reaches partners every Monday, instead of someone putting it together by hand.
The Sprint
What the Sprint looks for.
The Sprint is a 45-minute video interview with you and the person who handles your admin, then a written report. We work with Sydney businesses remotely, so there's no travel on your bill. Over the course of a normal week, we look for:
- Jobs someone does every week that follow the same steps each time.
- Places where the same information gets typed into two systems.
- Work that sits waiting for a person to notice it, like unanswered enquiries or unpaid invoices.
- The hours each fix would save per week, and what it would cost to build.
- Workflows to leave alone because they need judgement or the saving is too small.
If the report doesn't find five hours a week your team can get back, the $999 comes back.

Can you automate our workflows without visiting the office?
Yes, in most cases we can. The automations connect to cloud tools such as Microsoft 365, Gmail, Xero and your CRM, using access you grant and can revoke. If a workflow depends on software that only runs on a machine in your office, the Sprint report will say so.
